Learning new languages can be a bit difficult due to the limited availability of resources. Learning languages from books can also be boring for many people. Several online resources are now available to make learning new languages an easy experience. A growing breed of mobile apps make learning new languages a fun-filled experience. Word Bucket is one such recently released app for both Android and iOS devices which lets you learn new languages with ease and on the go.

The main feature of the app is its built-in dictionaries for ten languages, viz. Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, Arabic, Korean, Japanese, Russian and English. These dictionaries make it possible to learn new words and their meanings in new languages you want to learn. The new words that you find can be saved for future reference. The ability to save words differentiates Word Bucket from other online dictionaries which merely serve the function of giving meanings for unknown words. New words which are discovered by you can be learned with simple games with varying levels of difficulty. The app has a built-in social layer which allows you to share your words with your friends through social networks, Email, and Bluetooth.

App’s interface is good and the app functions without any lags. The only problem that I found with the app is that it is a bit difficult for users to understand all its features. A built-in user guide can make things easier for new users.

The app is free and the developers make money with the ads that are displayed. There is a paid version of the app with extra features like ad free interface, ability to save more number of words, and an offline word saving feature. Give Word Bucket a try if you want to learn a new language or when you are visiting a country where English is not spoken widely.
