Samsung is all set to launch another midrange smartphone under its Galaxy series called as the Galaxy Express. The midrange smarphone market in India is booming. Galaxy Express is the second notable product to be launched in the midrange segment this year by Samsung after the hugely successful Galaxy Grand Quattro. Despite being affordable, the new midrange smartphone from Samsung has many latest features like 4G LTE and NFC which are generally seen on high end smartphones.

Design of the phone is similar to that of the Samsung Galaxy S3 with curved corners and and an oval shaped home button. The phone’s external panels are made of premium plastic which gives an attractive look to the phone. Under the hood of the phone is a 1.2 GHz Krait dual-core processor coupled with a full GB of RAM. Galaxy Express has a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus touch screen which can display 16 million colors and has a resolution of 800 x 480-pixels. The phone comes with Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) out of the box with lots of Google apps preloaded in it. Exclusive apps from Samsung like ‘S Voice’ and ‘S Suggest’ too will come preloaded with the phone.

Galaxy Express has a 5 megapixel rear camera which might look a bit disappointing for some. Primary camera can also record videos in HD quality. An 8 megapixel snapper would have made the phone more attractive for people who often take images with their mobile phones. One area where the phone stands out is connectivity. The phone has all the latest connectivity options including NFC and 4G LTE so that users can quickly connect to any network or gadget of their choice.

With a thickness of just 9.3 mm and a weight of 139.1 grams, the phone is light and sleek. The phone’s massive 2000 mAh battery can keep the phone alive for a full day with a single charge.

The smartphone was launched a few months back across the globe. But its release has been postponed in India due to the limited availability of 4G networks. But Samsung has finally decided to launch Galaxy Express in India as Reliance (Reliance Jio Infocomm) is all set to launch its 4G network across the nation.

The price and launch date are not announced yet.
